Contradictions
Tuesday, September 2, 2014 • 9:55 PM
I attended an event called A Minor Contradiction last weekend. You can read about it here ( 2nd post from the top) if you want.

The event got me thinking about the contradictions in my own life. Here are a few I've experienced and observed.

1. Meeting someone you know intuitively you can talk to about everything and anything and then sharing a meal with them in silence.

2. The way hospitals are so sterile they make you feel like you need to take a shower.

3. People who claim to promote inclusiveness by putting the people who have discriminated against them down.

4. The way when people introduce themselves in tutorials, they start off speaking loudly but become quiet at the part where they actually have to say their name.

5. The longing to stand out and make an impression and the crushing anxiety of standing out happening at the same time.

School has been disorienting for me a little, but I'm working through it as always.
